Phantom™ Filters
The Phantom Fan-powered Filter Unit (FFU) from Gordon has set the standard for the quietest operating noise, while maintaining high airflow output, with unsurpassed reliability.
Featuring an Electrically Commutated Motor, the ECM model Phantom adds the benefits of enhanced performance and extremely low operating costs to the industry best attributes of the Standard Phantom.
Gordon’s R2F model phantoms feature a roomside replaceable HEPA filter, for cleanroom applications – typically life-science cleanrooms – where periodic filter change is expected.
STANDARD PHANTOM FILTERS
The PHANTOM by Gordon is the quietest operating FFU on the market, and its unsurpassed performance and reliability offer the highest value for your fan-powered filter unit (FFU) investment.
Regardless of your cleanroom design, there is a PHANTOM model to fit your unique
requirements.
The Standard PHANTOM is equipped with all the features you need for most FFU applications.
PHANTOM
FOR TECHNOLOGY + LIFE SCIENCES CLEANROOM APPLICATIONS
LOW NOISE
Single units operate at an exceptionally quiet NC-40 noise rating, on high speed setting. No FFU operates at a quieter or more comfortable noise level than the PHANTOM.
SAFETY
The ECM PHANTOM is U.L. and C.U.L. listed and approved as an appliance, guaranteeing high quality and dependability.
RELIABILITY
Motors are rated at 100,000 hours, averaging a life expectancy of over 11 years.
REPLACEABLE PREFILTERS
MERV 4 prefilters protect and extend the life of the HEPA final filters.
ADJUSTABLE SPEED MOTORS
Blowers are powered by 1/4 H.P. permanent split capacitor (PSC) 115 or 277 Volt / 1-Phase / 60 Hertz, 3-speed motors, with High/Medium/Low speed adjustment switch
PERFORATED AIR DIFFUSER FACE SCREEN
Perforated aluminum face screens perform the dual functions of diffusing the air stream to help gain unidirectional airflow, while protecting the HEPA filter media from damage
OPTIONS
- ULPA final filters: 99.9995% efficiency @ .12 microns
- PTFE final filters: to 99.99999% efficiency
- Knife edge final filters for use in gel-seal ceilings
- 12-foot Power cord (ships separately for field attachment)
- A/C duct collar for direct connection to HVAC ductwork
- Low off-gassing sealed bearing motors
ECM PHANTOM FILTERS
So in addition to having the lowest operating cost, the ECM PHANTOM is the quietest operating FFU on the market, with unsurpassed performance and reliability offering the highest value for your fan-powered filter unit (FFU) investment.
The ECM PHANTOM is equipped with all the features you need for most FFU applications.
ECM PHANTOM
FOR TECHNOLOGY + LIFE SCIENCES CLEANROOM APPLICATIONS
LOW OPERATING COST
The highly efficient ECM technology delivers high performance along with extremely low energy consumption.
INPUT POWER ADAPTABILITY AND SPEED CONTROL
The ECM motor controller operates on any single-phase input line voltage, 120V to 240V, converting to DC power for motor speed control ranging from 1% to 100%.
RESERVE CAPACITY
Factory speed program settings leave over 40% reserve capacity on the fan curve, more than sufficient to compensate for typical external static loading.
CONTROL AND MONITORING OPTIONS
ECM PHANTOM ffu can be furnished with Visual Control Unit (VCU) for manual speed adjustment with digital display, or Modbus RTU interface to communicate with remote Building Management System (BMS) of Industrial Automation System (IAS) software architecture.
LOW NOISE
Single units operate at an exceptionally quiet NC-40 noise rating, on high speed setting. No FFU operates at a quieter or more comfortable noise level than the PHANTOM.

R2F PHANTOM FILTERS
The R2F PHANTOM is equipped with all the features you need for FFU applications requiring periodic HEPA filter replacement.
R2F PHANTOM
FOR TECHNOLOGY + LIFE SCIENCES CLEANROOM APPLICATIONS
GUARANTEED AIR TIGHTNESS
HEPA filter frames have a channel filled with urethane gel sealant to mate with a knife edge on the R2F PHANTOM housing to provide a guaranteed airtight seal.
LOW NOISE
Single units operate at an exceptionally quiet NC-40 noise rating, on high speed setting. No FFU operates at a quieter or more comfortable noise level than the PHANTOM.
