ALPRO® acoustical wall panels provide an attractive and affordable solution for any space where noise abatement is required. ALPRO perforated metal wall panels are available in 10 corrugation patterns and Mark-7 linear panels, finished in your choice of standard or custom color matched powder coat. In typical installations, ALPRO wall panels are fastened to “Z” furrings attached to existing structures to create a cavity filled with acoustical pads. Panels may be lapped for a continuous look or separated to present a reveal. ALPRO provides perimeter trims finished to accurately match the wall panels.

The BOK (Bank of Oklahoma) Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma is a multi-purpose venue with a seating capacity of up to 18,000 people. This new $183 million dollar, 565,000 square foot, state of the art facility easily converts from a sporting events arena to a performing arts venue as it accommodates hockey, arena football and NCAA events, as well as concerts and other stage productions. The center is the glittering jewel for the entire state of Oklahoma.

Striking in its design by world renowned architect, Cesar Pelli, the BOK Center has given the city of Tulsa an easily recognizable, iconic structure with its 350,000 square feet of exterior stainless steel panels and 75,000 square feet of glass. Gordon’s ALPRO Acoustical Systems Division is proud to have contributed uniquely attractive and effective acoustical interior finishes throughout the facility that are complimentary to the architecturally bold and exciting building design.

Working closely with the architect and engineers of record, MATRIX Architects Engineers Planners, Inc. of Tulsa, OK, ALPRO aided in the design of new and interesting trim features to accent the acoustical wall panels, creating an appealing focal point to the interior finish of the facility. Durable and aesthetically pleasing, the customized ALPRO acoustical wall panel and trim system effectively reduces reverberation time within the arena bowl to levels that maximize the experience for any event audience.

The BOK Center project is a CISCA Construction Excellence Award in the Acoustical Solutions Category. Everywhere you look in this beautiful building you are impressed by the architect’s inspired design, you see metal design features manufactured by Gordon’s ALPRO Acoustical Systems Division, and all installed with care and skill by the contractor, LRL Enterprises, Inc., Carrollton, TX. This project demonstrates how the spirit of partnership between the architect, manufacturer, independent manufacturer’s representative and installing contractor combine to achieve a successful result.

The arena was also one of four venues nominated for Pollstar's 2008 "Best New Major Concert Venue" award, which is set to be decided in January 2009. In its first three months of operation, the facility was featured or set to be featured in at least four major venue publications, including Venues Today, which gave its 2008 "Hall of Headlines" award to BOK Center manager John Bolton after a poll of venue managers, owners, operators and bookers determined that Bolton had the highest level of success worldwide in booking high-quality performances in 2008. In late 2008, a survey of BOK Center visitors found that 96.7 percent felt the building's overall impression, staff, concessions, merchandise, and traffic flow were favorable.
